Donald Joseph Qualls - better known as DJ Qualls - is a model, actor, and producer from the United States. Apart from his Road Trip role, he also appeared in The New Guy Hustle & Flow in addition to The Core. Alongside his role on Road Trip Qualls has appeared in over 22 TV shows like Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order and many more. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma and diagnosed when he was 14 years old. Qualls is a fighter. The cancer relapsed two years later. The treatment at an early time had negative effects on the body. This impeded his growth. As he got older, financial security seemed to be his goal because his experience with poverty had been a part of his childhood. He commented, "I've been living so in a state of financial sanity for so long that I'm in need of financial security otherwise the world can seem out of control to me." He thinks back to his childhood, and has the desire to act against bullies. He is a victim of cruelty and breaks his heart. Both in real life and on film, DJ's character would like to be a father. He admits that Directors do not cast me in those roles. It's a dream to be one day an adult, and the time comes when he can devote more time with his career and dedicate it to his son.
